I haven't posted in quite awhile as you can tell. That tends to happen with blogs I guess. As I've said before though, I'm going to try and keep things going here. It becomes increasingly difficult I feel in today's Internet to filter through all the crazy news of a million blogs/twitter feeds/news outlets and walk away feeling like you didn't really miss anything from the day. In my eternal attempt to be one of those filters, I give you the first Nerd Recap!
The first update is of course focused on Star Wars Celebration 2015 taking place this weekend in Anaheim, California. If you're human you already know the new teaser for Episode VII was shown and officially released. Unaware of the validity of the statement, there were a couple articles circulating that claimed analysts figured the release of this trailer generated approximately $2 billion in additional brand worth for Disney...I'll agree. Also, according to Kathleen Kennedy the teaser was viewed around 88 million times in its first 24hrs online. I can personally say about 100 of those views came from here.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens (teaser #2)
Now by no means was that all the Star Wars news that came out of Star Wars Celebration this weekend. It's actually still going on as we speak I type this. Some of the other big highlights include The Force Awakens panel itself that opened #SWCA. Check out the official highlight reel below.

Also, while I'm slowly inching my way into the animated Star Wars universe myself, the trailer for Season 2 of Rebels was premiered and it looks AMAZING! #AhsokaLives, #DarthVader, #RexLives
Star Wars Rebels Season Two (trailer #1)
Let's now forget about the video game that is going to re-awaken everyone's inner 90's child...Star Wars Battlefront, coming to your next gen console or PC this November.
Star Wars Battlefront Reveal Trailer
The last thing on the Star Wars front (as of the writing of this article) would have to be the reveal of official info on the first standalone film Star Wars: Rogue One which apparently will be focusing on rebel pilots (including the awesome Felicity Jones) stealing the plans for the Death Start between Episodes III and IV, meaning there will be
no Jedi in the film...interesting! They apparently debuted some concept art and an official logo (see below courtesy of
@bcbishop). Also, twitter is saying a short teaser of sorts was shown, not officially up yet...but keep an eye out!
Star Wars Celebration 2015 is still going strong, so keep it tuned to your favorite blog or starwars.com for the latest as it wraps up.
